North Coast band set to perform at CHS auditorium

The North Coast Concert Band and North Coast Big Band will present a Winter Concert Sunday, March 7 at 3 p.m.

The concert will be given at the Clyde High School, 1015 Race Street, Clyde, Ohio. The site is handicapped accessible.

Director William Woycitzky has selected music that highlights the talents of the woodwind sections. Featured soloist is bassoonist Ross Duncan, who will perform "Bassoonata." He will be joined by Laura Willis and Catherine Lewis in "Black Light", a trio for bassoons.

"The Clarinet Polka" will feature Jim Hunsicker, Susan Hoffman, and Margaret Suarez.

Also programmed are marches and medleys of music from composer John Williams, directed by assistant conductor Will Kish; "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"; and a "Salute to Bob Hope."

The North Coast Big Band, led by Gary Keller, will also appear.

The spring concert for both bands will be held Sunday, May 2, at Norwalk High School. For further information, contact 419-332-4470.
