City workers

deserve

praise

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of the Clyde Public Library I would like to commend City Manager Dan Weaver and department superintendents Rick Harrah and Don Ball, as well as city workers, for the great work they recently performed for the library.

On June 1, a sinkhole developed in the middle of the library's parking lot. Mr. Weaver, Mr. Harrah, Mr. Ball and the city's work crews worked promptly and professionally to discover the cause of the sink hole and then to resolve the problem in a timely fashion.

Given that the library's state funding has been cut by 30 percent this year and next, we are especially grateful to the city manager, department superintendents, and work crews for performing the work for us. Additionally, the level of courtesy and professionalism exhibited by these employees was exemplary. It is our pleasure to acknowledge the good work performed by the city and its excellent employees.

Sincerely,

Vicki Balemian

Library Director
