Mary Ann Krauss

Mary Ann Krauss, 82, Clyde, died Monday, March 15, 2010 in Stein Hospice in Sandusky.

She was born May 21, 1927 in Fremont, the daughter of Walter and Anna (Wyss) Anspach. She married Richard D. Krauss on March 16, 1979.

She was a 1946 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, a member and Past Directress of the Zenobia Jesteretts, Past President of the Antique Salt Shaker Collectors Society, member of the Fostoria Glass Collectors Society, Findlay Glass Club, Wave Crest Collectors Club, Mt. Washington Glass Collectors Society and was also an avid golfer.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; sons, Robert L. (Gwen) Nitschke of Clyde, Tim Nitschke of Fremont, Chris (Theresa) Nitschke of Fremont, Eric Nitschke of Salem, Ore., Mark (Andrea) Nitschke of Madison, Miss.; step-son, R. Scott (Barbara) Krauss of Cleveland; daughter, Cheryl (Smoke) Overmyer of Lindsey; step-daughters, Susan Snavely of Tiffin and DeAnn Krauss (Tony Paradiso) of Tiffin; 17 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; brothers, Walter (Ruth) Anspach of Fremont, John (Betty) Anspach of Fremont; and sisters, Lucy Dorfmeyer of Toledo and Norma Harrigan of Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Lucille Hyde.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services on Monday, March 22, at noon, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 143 W. Forest St. in Clyde. Private burial services will take place at McPherson Cemetery.

Foos-Klein Funeral Home, 318 S. Main St. in Clyde is assisting the family with arrangements.
