Robert W. Wott
Robert William Wott, 73, Clyde, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Elmwood at the Springs in Green Springs.
Mr. Wott was born Dec. 24, 1926 in Sandusky County, the son of Walter and Mildred (Brown) Wott. He married Michelle (Powell) Mittower on Aug. 15, 1998.
He graduated from Clyde High School in 1957 and had served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Clyde Eagles, Clyde Moose and Clyde VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle; two daughters, Leah (Rob) Williams of Woodville and Laurie (Jerry) McCleary of Port Clinton; step children, Jason (JoJo) Mittower, Jodi (Dan) Perry, Joshua Mittower all of Clyde and Jonathan Mittower of Fremont; grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Williams, Zackary McCleary, Catherine Mittower, Jarel, Levi, Trevor, and Danavin Perry, Joshua, Jayson, Jessica, Jorydn Mittower and Jacob, Danial, Maxwell, and Mason Mittower; his sister, Jean (Ray) Fry of Fremont; his niece, Melody Patrick; and nephew, Jeff Wott.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lamar Wott and nephews, Greg and Randy Wott.
He will be missed by his dog companion, Domino and all his camping friends.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 19, at 11 a.m., at McPherson Cemetery, Veteran's Section in Clyde, with Rev. Ray Kovach officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Clyde or to Stein Hospice.
