Gibbs, Rutski exchange vows
Sawmill Creek Resort provided the setting for the Sept. 12, 2009 wedding of Amanda M. Gibbs and Kenneth J. Rutski. Kim L. Sutter officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael S. Gibbs of Lorain and Christine M. Gibbs of Clyde. Parents of the bridegroom are Christopher W. Rutski of Buffalo, N.Y. and Jody M. Rutski of Gowanda, N.Y.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her grandfather, Nolan C. Gross and father, Michael S. Gibbs, wore a sleeveless princess a-line dress with a scoop neckline from the Moonlight Bridal Victorian Rose line, made of white chiffon with a chapel train and Bugle beads, seed beads, sequins and Swarovski crystals. She wore an elbow-length, white veil. She carried a bouquet of a dozen red roses wrapped in a silver ribbon.
Samantha C. Rutski, Gowanda, N.Y., groom's sister, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids included Taylor J. Edington, Gowanda, N.Y., groom's cousin; Tiffany M. Gross, Marshall, Mich., bride's cousin; and Madyson, Jenna and Savana Ranzenberger, all of Burgoon, all bride's cousins. All attendants wore dresses crafted by the mother of the bride, Christine M. Gibbs, made of silky, solid fabrics in shade of turquoise. Attendants carried bunches of two or three deep red roses wrapped in silver ribbon.
The flower girl was Bobbi Anne Ranzenberger, Burgoon, bride's cousin. She carried a white basket filled with white and red roses.
The best man was Jochen O. Hutzenlaub, Buffalo, N.Y., groom's friend. Ushers included Jacob A. Edington, Gowanda, N.Y., groom's cousin; Justin M. Gibbs, Lorain, bride's brother. Kieryn W. Black, Bowling Green, bride's cousin, served as ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Sawmill Creek Resort for approximately 90 guests.
The couple hosted a rehearsal dinner at Osborn Park in Sandusky.
Following their honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Bellevue.
The bride currently has a bachelor of science in photo-illustration degree from Kent State University and is currently a homemaker.
The bridegroom has a bachelor of science in education studies from Kent State University and is currently a substitute teacher in the Clyde-Green Springs School District.
The bride was given two bridal showers. The July 4 one was hosted by the bride's family.
The July 25 one was hosted by the groom's mother and sister.
