Navigating Teen Years set
The public, especially parents of teenagers, is invited to attend a free program "Navigating the Teenage Years" on Monday, March 22, 7-8 p.m., at Bellevue City Schools Regula Learning Center in Bellevue Senior High School.
To be discussed is "STDs; HIV/AIDS and Teen Pregnancy."
Guest speakers include Christie Clinton and Andy Justin.
Christie Clinton has worked at the University of Toledo for nine years as a patient advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS. She is a mother of two children and is also a student at the University of Toledo in the social work program. Her passion is to educate teens as well as communities about HIV/AIDS.
Andy Justin has worked at a family-owned business for about three years. He is also a father of two children, and has been an advocate for HIV/AIDS for about eight years. He's passion is to educate the community about how everyone is affected with HIV/AIDS.
Navigating the Teenage Years is a free program designed to educate and inform people, especially parents of teenagers, about the issues teenagers may be facing in society today.
The programs, monthly from January-May, will be offered in Bellevue and Fremont. They are sponsored by the Bellevue City School District, Fremont City School District and Sandusky County Health Department.
