Andrea Spears is class treasurer

Andrea Spears, 127 William Ave., has been selected as the current Student of the Week by the administration at Bellevue Senior High School.

A senior, she is the daughter of Jim and Myrna Spears and has maintained a 3.84 accumulative grade point average over six semesters of study.

Spears has served as class treasurer for two years, is a two-year member of National Honor Society and also of Key Club, which she serves as vice president. She has belonged to Entre Nous for three years and has served as a classmate tutor for three years. In addition, she has been a member of the BSHS Lady Red basketball team for four years and a four-year member of the volleyball squad, serving as a captain of both teams.

She is a member of her church youth group at Cline Street Freewill Baptist Church, has assisted with organizing blood drives and a benefit dinner.

Spears plans to attend either Mercy College or Lourdes College with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner.
