MMS girls have perfect season

The 8th Grade Lady Fliers defeated Port Clinton in the final tournament game to keep their record perfect, finishing the entire season 17-0 claiming both SBC and SBC Tournament championship titles.

They defeated the Port Clinton Redskins 35-18. Leading the way for the Fliers were Amanda Cahill with a game high of 23 points, Breanne Michaels added 10 of her own and chipping in 2 points was Hannah Wadsworth.

Coach Sarah Scruggs noted she was pleased with how the girls faced some adversity and still came out on top. They were missing a lot of easy shots as a team but they kept fighting defensively and kept their heads in the game. Coach Scruggs added these girls deserved this trophy and she is extremely proud of each member of the team.

She ended by stating both Coach Marissa Greenslade and she are extremely excited to see these girls continue their careers in high school and truly believes if they work hard in the off season they can make great things happen at the varsity level.
